I was first introduced to Reiki through a friend when I was still in high school. I found it very interesting and could feel her energy in my throat chakra even though she wasn't actually touching me. It was then that I first realized that we have the ability to move energy both in and around our bodies. It took another 27 years for me to consider Reiki as a profession. 
 
I ended up working as a school social worker for 16 years. I loved that job and I was able to help a lot of families in those 16 years, but it almost broke me. The job became increasingly more stressful and it was later brought to my awareness that I was transmuting the trauma for everyone I encountered, but I wasn't finishing the process because I wasn't grounded.  

 

At the time, I didn’t fully understand the importance of mindfulness or grounding, and I believed that working long hours was a sign of dedication. I allowed every last bit of my resources to be depleted and when I finally tried to take time to recover, I almost lost my job. I had to go on medical leave twice for debilitating migraines and lower back pain that turned out to be 100% stress-related. I couldn't go back to that job and remain healthy, so the universe did what I couldn't do for myself and put me in an impossible situation where I had to quit my job. 
 
In February of 2022, nine months before my second leave of absence, my brother crossed to the other side. Though it took a few months, his passing became the spark that ignited my spiritual awakening. Even today, he remains by my side, guiding me from beyond. A little over a year later, I left my job and returned home to South Carolina. Since then, my spiritual awakening has blossomed, and my intuitive gifts continue to grow. 

  

In October of 2024, when I returned from Egypt, I was guided to start my YouTube channel where I post Light Language Activations.  In January of 2025 I launched my energy healing business! I am so excited to share my gifts with my clients and to have the ability to continue to help people in a much more effective way.
